Last good shot at an eagle I had was a couple of weeks ago and it was a little too dark. This one I like better.
I was setting up to do a landscape photo and this guy came and landed in a tree in my shot. Then he hung out while I changed lenses and got closer. Very accommodating!

They seem to be in a hurry to get the walls up so I thought I'd better get this while I could. Workers worked into darkness which brought out these great shadows.

I went for a nice afternoon ski tour near the continental divide off Monarch Pass yesterday. I was a beautiful afternoon to be out in the snow with just myself, my camera, and my thoughts. Oh, and the skiing was great! :)

I had to go out shooting this morning when I saw how the overnight frost had prettied things up. This is a tree on a ranch just outside of town. I've had this particular scene in the back of my mind and I just needed the frost and time. Today it all came together!
This is also another 3 shot HDR using HDR Pad. I like how it brought out the detail in the trunk that would have been too dark otherwise.

It was a chilly ride to work but I made it! This shot is of some nice frost patterns on the glass of the door to The Bean coffee shop next to my office. It was in the mid -30's F. that morning.

Winter is the best time of year to shoot at noon. I still get some good shadows and the snow just makes them stand out so nicely.

One more from my trip to the whitewater park the other day. I used Lightroom 3 for the conversion and I have to say I really like the new presets (over LR2). I usually mess with them a little but they provide a great start and foundation to work from.
